Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (or OT) helps people with disabilities develop independence and helps people recover from surgery or injury to develop the skills needed for the activities of daily living, including:

  • self-care,
  • hobbies,
  • independent living,
  • school and
  • work.

Allegro welcomes patients of all ages and diagnoses who can benefit from Occupational Therapy, including:

  • people who have had strokes,
  • people with autism and other neurological differences,
  • people recovering from surgeries,
  • people with depression or anxiety and
  • the elderly.

Our qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists provide services to help people to increase independence and live life to the fullest, including:

  • self-care,
  • cognitive skills,
  • fine motor skills,
  • gross motor skills,
  • daily living skills,
  • sensory processing,
  • emotional and self-regulation,
  • play and socialising,
  • mental health,
  • employment and
  • rehabilitation following illness, injury or surgery.

We want to help people where they live, work, learn and play, therefore our Occupational Therapists operate from our Geraldton clinic, within the Geraldton community and we travel throughout the Midwest region (including Northampton, Kalbarri, Mingenew, Mullewa, Dongara, Carnamah, Eneabba, Yalgoo and Mt Magnet) to undertake assessments, deliver services, training,  therapy, education and provide assistive equipment.

The Allegro Team can work in collaboration with medical professionals to deliver care plans and we are also a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registered service provider.

You do not need a referral to see one of our Occupational Therapists.
